Vistara Airlines is now merging with Air India as a single Tata Sons group Airline.
The end of Vistara Era’s, Tata Group has confirmed that the Vistara Airlines is now officially merging with Air India as a single airline. Mr. N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata sons group said that “The merger of Vistara and Air India is an Important milestone in our journey to make Air India a truly world-class airline”
About Vistara Airlines:
Tata SIA airlines limited known by the name of Vistara. It is a joint venture between Tata sons and Singapore Airlines limited as 51:49 holding ratios. Vistara commenced its commercial operations on 9th Jan 2015, with an aim to set new standards in the aviation industry in India and today its connects destinations across the world.
The Fleet size of Vistara Airlines is total of 53 aircraft, including 41 Airbus A320, 5 Airbus A321Neo, 5 Boeing B737-800NG and 2 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft’s.
The Vistara Airline officially merge with Air India on 12th November 2024 after that its comes fully under Air India airline company. After that all the Vistara airline flight code “UK” changed to “AI”.
Starting from September 3rd of 2024, passengers will no longer able to book tickets with Vistara for travel or after 12th of November. Vistara will continue bookings and operates flights till 11th November of 2024.
Customers who booked flight tickets to travel after 12th November will automatically converts its tickets to Air India. The Vistara Airline booking website will not work and able to book tickets after 12th of November 2024. This news might be bad news for Vistara Lovers and aviation enthusiasts but the airlines want to operate into a single company and provide a world class travel experience to all their customers
